9" torque arm mount

I recently picked up a 9" that is supposed to bolt right into a thirdgen. However, the torque arm mount looks sketchy. I am wondering if this will work or not

Definitely looks sketchy. I will probably just get a currie one and weld it on there, or take it to Moser. I can't complain much though. It was $200

Re: 9" torque arm mount

I wouldn't run that mount. Get the mounts that weld on to the top and bottom of the housing and have a shop weld them on. Unless you have a welder in which case make em yourself for a few bucks if you have ample time.

Would you get the currie enterprise one? Or the Moser one? Both would end up costing around the same when said and done. The moser looks a little more beefier, but it may not hold up as well.

How would the moser one not hold up well? It's a massive chunk of cast iron. It will outlast the car.

Wow that's the best deal I've seen for a build-it-yourself type rear end. The axles, housing and Torque arm mount all for $1K.

However, I am still leaning towards the moser after reading that. It seems quite a bit stronger and has more points where it is connected to the housing. I emailed moser on monday, and am still waiting to hear back from them.

That's a old bracket, the newer design is a one piece cast iron unit. I have both.

Re: 9" torque arm mount

So judging by the amount of people that have both, either one would be sufficient?
