Crushed control arm

I had someone offer to press my control arm bushings for me. He mentioned being aware of taking precautions to keep from collapsing the control arm. What I got back is in the photo. Should I go ahead and replace the control arm? Needless to say, I’m not very happy at the moment.

Re: Crushed control arm

Clearly they did NOT use any kind of brace on the inside to support the A-arm.

Re: Crushed control arm

1st I'd demand a refund for absolutely unacceptable work.

Then cut that bushing out.
Bend the a-arm ears back out.
Then try again.
It's good practice to cut angle iron that matches the a-arm bushing ear gap.
That way it doesn't get crushed.
if the ears are supported enough, you can literally just hammer the new bushings in.

Another note:
I've used both Poly and Del-a-lum a-arm bushings.
Poly has the same ride quality and squeaks.
The solid bushings are the superior choice.
