I am swapping an LS engine into my v6 car with the UMI LS kit for struts and my car has just over 12k miles on it. My question is with the LS engine being lighter than a standard v8 and the UMI setup saving some weight do i need to change the springs? Am i thinking right that the springs should be different than with a standard v8? I would like a fun handling car without going crazy.

Hard to say. Alot would depend on the condition of the springs, and your own expectations.

Put it in and see. If you don't like it you can move to plan B.
