Front and Rear Spring options for 82-92 firebird?
Hey guys,
I've finally got a good set of 18" wheels for my firebird along with the parts to do the C5 brake conversion.
My problem is I have the knight rider front bumper which already mades the car look like its riding high, and going from 15" stock rims to 245/55/18s is going to make it look like a monster truck.
Springs for these cars are a scarcity here in Australia, so I'm trying to nail down what exactly I'm after.
To slightly complicate the issue, I've got a 97LT1 10 bolt rear end in the car, but this is using the stock springs from the 10bolt drum diff that was originally in the car.
I'm thinking I'll need a 2" lowering for the front and rear, as 1.5" will just cover the wheel; change over, and the other 1/2" will sit me a bit lower.
So what I'm chasing is compatibility, are the springs for front/rear 82-92 specific, or can I look at 92-97 or even 4th gen springs?
The only decently priced set i've found are these, but they have no details at all on their site:

The rear springs are interchangeable with the 4th gen, the fronts are not. Most folks go with the Eibach sportlines and or pro-kit. A quick search will also show you what other options you have.
