problem with alignment/steering

Hi, i have an 87 Z28...been having a problem with my steering and aligniment and steering

so the wheels turn way farther right then they do left and the caster/camber plates are adjusted all the way inward tward the engine (both sides). the uneven turning im thinking the sterring box isnt centered correctly, but, the shockes themselves also start hitting the body/swaybar on tight turnes, they are very close to the body...left side worse then the other, it binds up and is harder to move on right turn.

i started having this issue after i installed tubular K-member and A-arms both from spohn, aloso threw in new springs whitch were taller than the stock ones but the A-arms seem level when the car is on the ground

any help woud be great, thanks in advance

Re: problem with alignment/steering

Sounds like your center link is on backwards.
The inner tie rod castle nuts should face the front of the car.

Or the K-member isn't installed or built right .
Tubular stuff can get wonky.

Re: problem with alignment/steering

ok, ill check the center link...was thinking it was possible something wasnt right with tubular parts, A-arms seem ok..i have stock ones and they seem to be same dimentions

is it possible that where the A-arms mount to the k-member is too close together? i dont have a stock one to check...would it be possible to get a mesurement for that, or even just ball joint to ball joint?

There are body shop measurements they use for check for bent frames.
Not sure if there's a balljoint to joint measurement though.
But tire rubbing, and strut hitting means something is very very wrong.

any chance on getting just a measuerment with a tape mesure? lol..just between the A-arm mount bolts? if not, cool

Re: problem with alignment/steering

Quick measurement with a tape measure.

Balljoint to balljoint centers: 51in
Center of A-arm bolts measured across the K-member: 19.5in

Not sure if that helps at all.

Re: problem with alignment/steering

The spohn k member and arms have been known to create all kind of problems. I've been out the game for a while and it doesn't look like they have changed the design.
