proportionvalve/master cylinder

Hi, I did the 4th gen swap and I want to know about which proportion valve do I use and which master cylinder do I use and some part numbers if possible. I used to have drum brakes and now disc all around. The brakes work but not real good. I've heard that the disc brake cars had a different master cylinder and proportion valve. I've tried getting GMPARTSDIRECT and DAL to see which valve would work but I guess they don't want to be liable. I know some out there has done this swap. Is it true from 88 to 89-92 they had different valves and master cylinders. Oh, I have an 88 transam 5.0 TPI. thanks

I have 1LE brakes on all 4 wheels. I have great success using the stock J-50 (disc front-drum rear) master cyl and proportioning valve.

One member has had a rather hair raising ride in my car. Perhaps he cat attest to the brake function.

Thanx,ANDYZ28
