I've heard around that you were developing SFC for 3rdgen convertibles. Let me know if you are planning on making them. I'll wait for yours rather than purchasing them from someone else since a lot of people stand by your products...

Yes, there will now soon be a convertible version as well. The convertible was impossible to do with rectangular because of the bends that are necessary. The Alston's are tubular, they fit the convertible, unfortunately for you drop top guys it seems they aren't making them, or not many, these days. We'll be taking care of that.

Hey Steve

I called and left a message last week, Im sure your'e busy. This might take care of serveral of the same questions.

My question is, will you have a bolt on version of the tube SFC??
I want to bolt them on, let it settle and tack weld them. just in case if I ever had to remove them, it would be a pain, plus I wanted them power coated red. I have dual cats SLP exhaust
system

thanks in advance

Ahhhh, good. I must have wrote down a wrong digit when I wrote down your message from the voicemail. Tried calling and it was the wrong number, ooops!

I won't have a bolt-in version. The way I run them full length there's no feasible way to bolt them fast. The bolt in SFCs only run from the LCA mount to the trans. crossmember, I don't like that set up. It doesn't provide a full length frame and there isn't any triangulation.

You could just bolt it fast at the rear to the LCA and just put a few skip welds on the front mounting plate and leave the Y pieces off. That would make it easy to remove if you wanted to, just cut the front skip welds. You'll never get a car as tight as one that has our set up fully welded, it really locks the car together.

thanks for the response Steve

sounds like a good option, I still wanted them powercoated
can you still do this and leave a inch or so bear at the welding points?

Thanks in advance

Yep! Pretty exciting! I can't wait for Spohn to release them.

Hey, Spohn, are they going to be tucked away under the car or will they be seen from the side and compromise ground clearance?

Count me in! I've been looking for the right set and have been holding off. Has anyone been given an approximate date when they might be available? I'm currently running Spohn rear suspension (all of it) and couldn't be happier.
