Damage from brake fluid leak
Damage from brake fluid leak
I had a leak in my master cylinder, which I fixed. Every painted surface that got brake fluid on it is now bare metal. I can fix this.
However, I tore my hands up pretty good working on the car and got alot of brake fluid on my hand. My entire right hand has a thick layer of white, dead skin on it. The skin is very rough and the roughness is so thick, that I have no feeling when I touch my skin.
Do I have a problem?

I would say you may have a problem with the hands...I would get that checked out. As for the paint...it's pretty much ruined. I know you know this now but you're never supposed to get brake fluid on any painted surface (or any other surface if you can help it).

Really makes you want to wear latex gloves from now on, eh?
I had the same thing happen to my hands... they look really old & wrinkled, too, right? Just use a lot of hand lotion. Brake fluid sucks up water like a fiend; it's probably sucking your hands dry. Sick, eh? Since then, I use gloves... dont' worry, you'll get feeling back in a day or two..
