Most comfortable shocks/struts

Okay guys... I just want to konw what the best riding shocks and struts are. I'm re-doing my whole suspension soon, and with the Eibach pro kit springs, I need to know what the best shocks and struts there are. I want the car to handle great but ride comfort is VERY IMPORTANT to me. I've heard everthing from KYB to Bilstein to TPIS' custom valved shocks and struts. What do you guys think??????? HELP!!!!!!!

With drop springs it's going to ride rougher. Shocks only control spring bounce, unless you get stiffer ones that firm up the ride. The best riding shocks in your case are probably the cheapest ones you can find(the weakest). But it still won't drive very smooth with the weak shocks on it and it will bottom out more often. Handling and smooth ride are opposites. Short stiff springs handle better and ride rougher--no shock can change that. For me a stiff ride and rough handling are the only way. The reason you aren't getting many responses is that what you want isn't possible.

Bilstein front struts are very high quality. They last forever. Koni red 3-way adjustable shocks represent a great value for the rear and are very well matched to Bilstein "sport" front struts.

KYBs for comfort, Bilsteins for performance. I've tried them both

I used Gabriel VST all the way around. All 4 cost less than $100.00 and give a good ride. The VST technology allows you to push them a little harder than regular shocks and struts. Can't beat them for the price. For high-end shocks (which I have bought my fair share for corvettes) I would go with Bilsteins. I had them on my 93 LT1 Vette with onboard adjustability and they were awesome. Good Luck!!

I don't mind paying, but I wanna get what I pay for. If KYB's are more comfortable, then I'll go with them. If the Bilsteins are more comfortable and performance too, I'll pay more and go with them!

my car is lowered 2 front and 1.5 in the rear with an eibach pro-kit and bilstein shocks an struts........it's the absolute best ride i've ever seen in an f-body 3rd or 4th gen. i followed an article in gm hightech performance and it was worth every penny. rides as smooth as an eldorado and performs better than a vette. although, i also added 1-le sway bars, kenny brown lca's and panhard rod and energy suspension bushings.

i liked the kyb's and koni's but you can't compare them to the bilsteins.

Of the ones I've riden in I'd go with KYB for comfort. The springs will do the rest. I'd like to hear from more people with Bilsteins, I've never felt their ride.

I put the cheap Monroe's on, the Gas-Matic Plus ones, I like them. They made a huge difference on my car. My stock(Bilstein) shocks and struts were completly worn out though.

I put Monroe Senstrac's on the back of my cavalier and they do great on that car, but I couldn't get those for the Bird at my local store when it came time for it's shocks.
