Tips or Tricks:
I have a 88 firebird that i just changed the brakes on. I have to change the driver side caliper in the front, and the damn bolt leading from the brake line into the caliper is a lil stripped. I tried to get it off and its not working, i also tried to take off the brake line at the bolt just above the caliper. Thats also not working. Any tips or tricks to remove this bolt?? Thanks
One way to get a subborn bolt off is to take an old socket or box and wrench that barely dosen't fit (ie using an SAE socket on a metric bolt or vice versa) and hammering it on there. That is kind of a last resort solution and you would need to but a new bolt and tool after that. Just throwing options your way

Well the bolt is obviously junk, so get some vise grips, take a deep breath and clamp them on there as hard as they will go. Let the teeth on them press into the head of teh bolt so it really grips it.

In my opinion, you should be replacing the brake hoses as well. If they're the originals, think about it: They're 14 years old! Brake hoses deteriorate and crack over time...
So if you were me, and I was replacing the brake hoses at the same time, I would just cut the damn hose in half. Then I'd put my new hose on, using (of course) new crush washers, and I'd have to buy a new banjo bolt for $2. Pep Boys has those (and crush washers) in the hardware drawers by the lugnuts and bolts/nuts packages.

Not sure if you can do this but...
Take a torch and heat he bolt up until its glowing red (Orange) then get some Vice Grips and lock them on as tight as you can get them (with bolt still very hot) then try and break it loose...
or take a hammer and knock it around a few times... this might take a few times of trying but should get it off...
