Weight of front sway bar?

How heavy is the front sway bar of an IROC? Is it actually heavy enough to make a real noticable difference when drag racing? Everyone says it does but does anyone have actual results? I'm prepping my car for the track tonight and was wondering if its really worth the time taking it off.

I don't know that you will knotice a big difference from taking off the sway bar from the loss of weight but you will get a better launch and weight transfer off the line by taking it off.

*****be warned your car will not drive the same in corners and on the highway you will have to be carefull when driving to the track*****

it depends if it is hollow or solid. I just removed my 30mm front sway bar and replaced it with a 36mm hollow bar. The hollow bar was so much lighter. I also heard that if you remove the front sway bar, you will be quicker in the quarter because more power is distributed to the rear. Try searching the boards.

I did do some searches but couldnt find an weight. Guess I'm going to be the first. I'll make a pass with the sway bar then one without it and see if there is any difference.

do not drive on street without sway bar, done a lot of research on this. If you want the launch, remove drivers side end link at the track, then replace when fun is over.
