You could just ask all the questions with one post.
Megashifter, I have one and it works great--much better than the stock shifter. Subframe connectors are a must for every thirdgen, IMO. They all do the same thing(not really one that is the best). Look for sfc's that will clear stock exhaust and ones that others on the board have had success with. Get weld in ones. Spohn has good ones. I built mine.
As far as the noise, it could be alot of things--can you describe the noise and where it comes from?
As far as what mods to do, that depends on what you want your car to do. Look nicer, go faster, handle better, launch better. Drive it a while and let us know what you want to make 'better'.
basic tune up
alignment and front end check-up
check the brakes and tires
wash and wax
change all the fluids(never know how old they might be)
Those are some things I would do, since you just got it

i found to noises one is fron the drivers door i think that i have to lift it a little bit cuz its a little bit loose the second one comes from the back and also if i turn the steering wheel all to the right or left and step on the gas something kinda pops under the engine.
thanks for the recommendations i think ill do sfcs and then shifter by the way is it too diff to install it myself i mean the shifter
the pics will come soon!!!!!
cya
i already have k&n and oil change so ill wait for a mayor tune up
(i want to make my car accelerate more because it seems to be too heavy and i wanted it to be like a rocket at starting)
thanks

the poping noise you hear may be tie rods. when the steering wheels is maxed out and you turn the car, you put a lot of stress on the tie rod. if it is bad or your front end is way out of line then you may get that popping sound. have a shop give your car a front end alignment. while there there have them take a look at the whole suspension and see what condition it is in. how many miles are on your new ride. 3rd gen cars where prone to be noisy but GM got better at buildinghtem as years went on. if you wanna eliminate some noise you can add dyno mat to the doors and hatch area. it gets exspnsive depending how much you use but it helps a lot.
how many miles on the new 350 or is it even a 350?
sub frame connectors will tighten the body and stop some of the typical noises.
megashifter will do nothing for you but look cool and get you to blow your first trans quicker. but, chicks dig it and old people can't get it out of gear so it keeps most from asking to drive!
as far as the poping noise, also check the ball joints.......i replaced everything before checking the obvious.
also, do a trans mount test; floor the pedal from a dead stop in a straight line...listen for any loud slams to see if it may be broken; originals don't last on highmilage cars. (don't exceed the speed limit either, you can test this with just a quick pedal press).
depending on mileage a tune up is always good; have your fuel pressure checked as well and if your air/fuel is off get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator or afpr!
if only drive on main streets and no freeways and you want to make it jump like a rocket add 3.73 gears.....if you don't want to loose at the strip and enjoy some freeway runs leave the gear alone.
one could go on and on about what to do, just do a search and keep looking at others posts to learn more.

not on that model............
or any other 91-92.
but this isn't about that topic......i just wanted to know the condition of the engine since the swap since that combination isn't possible stock.
