I'm wondering if anybody knows what the stock height is for a 92 camaro? I measured mine form the top of the wheel walls to the ground. the front measured 25.5" and the rear 26". Does this sound right? Or am I measuring wrong?

That's not right I don't think. I've heard stock height is anywhere from 27.5" to 28"

That's the height of my '91 after installing 1" drop Hotchkis springs.

And if that's your car in the picture, it definitely looks lowered.
I've never seen a "stock height" car lower than 27". GM factory tolerances, spring wear, "stock replacement" springs, and tire size are all factors.
IMO, stock height has approximately a 1" gap between the tire and the wheel well. So the height of your car should be wheel diameter + 1". Mine has 27" tires in the back and 28" of height, and 26" wheels in the front and 28" of height (The front springs are WAY too strong for what I have under the hood).

Everybody told me it wasnt lowered, but other camaros sit higher. And the fact I scrape on every little dip. So when it comes to replacing the struts and shocks what kind should I get to maintain the same stance? Oh yeah my tires are 25.6" in diameter I believe,. The fronts might be a little taller, but not noticeable. Thanks guys. Rod

If the tires are 25.5" in diameter, they're a little short, too. I thought stock size for later thirdgens was 26".
Regardless, if you've got no gap above the tire, you've definitely been lowered.

About that scrapin' on every dip, I know if we don't slow down or "angle" our f-bodys just right we all scrape the little radiator-air-catcher-spoiler underneath from time to time. Here's a little trick for those of us that sit a little lower, trim the rad. spoiler 1/2"-1 1/2".

No, my front spoiler scrapes, that stupid thing underneath is darn near gone. I have 245/55/16 on the rear and 225/(60)?/16 in the front. I think I put a little taller tires in the front to keep the front end from scraping so much. Its hard to tell from under the car if anything was replaced because it looks new yet and nothing has rust on them. Be kinda nice if the tags were still there on the parts. Its fun getting this thing on a hoist! Gotta lift up on the fenders while someone pushes the hoist arms under the car. Thanks guys.
