First it was an exhaust leak so the eprom was all wacky, next thing I know it I broke my programmer, now I'm back at it. Just finished burning a couple new eproms so the VE is at 128 in 70/80 degree weather.
I'm going to get the fuel pressure measured tomorrow, I need to run at least 18 if I want to be anywhere near enough fuel for 330hp at 5400rpm. Probably going to turn it up to 20 and then adjust the tables/BPW one last time.

I just need to make sure I want to keep 7747 control and keep EFI for the rest of the summer. If I can get this MPFI to run ok, I'll get the PROM Burner and eraser.

I hope MPFI works with 7747???

THANK YOU, JP!!! I'll email you the bin now! Email me back and we'll talk. Oh, can you mail me the chip AND holder and I'll send you one back??? Only reason I ask is that it looks like a beeootch to put the chip in that holder. It has always been done for me and I don't want to break the holder or bend the PROM arms...

MPFI conversion with 7747 ECU:

Long story short, I installed a TBI harness that was NOT the one I had removed (the one I used looked better...). Upon trying to start the motor, I got NOTHING. No "bark", sputter, nothing. Just nice solid cranking. Checked for spark, good spark. Checked FP in case the regulator came "in the box" set at 10psi or something, got 40psi FP...

Checked injector "+" side for power with key "ON", nothing??? Looked through my notes, I should have hooked up a keyed crank/On source to a RED wire, which is officially the "INJ A, INJ B" feed wire, according to shop manuals.

So, I have to find and hook-up the RED INJ wire tonight and she should start right up.

BTW, I didn't have the Schrader valve sealed perfectly (no Teflon thread sealer) when I initially cranked the FP to pressurize the rails. Pretty fountain. Had to change clothes.

JP, I have NOT checked my hotmail all weekend. You can call me at 860-557-4529 or I will try to get to the email tonight. Thanks for the support.

JP, it's on the way.

My assistant only used two stamps to send the package when I gave her three. It came back to me at work (long delay) , now it's out from PO this am.

Sorry for the delay, I added more $

got the Pocket PRogrammer and burned first chip this am. NOt shabby. Not sure what the settings were supposed to be on the software, just buned it and it worked.

Problems with idle/part throttle hunting... spark and fuel maps are already smoothed out, not sure why this is. Too big a cam, I guess.

Got the mail today broker, thanks.
You should really think about just going to a 730 ecm since you aren't using peak and hold injectors. How much could it cost and then you've got the ability to use the flash proms!
You'de also have the faster data stream with some other goodies. I don't know, just don't really understand why you're bothering with the 747...

I am using a 7747 cause it's what I got my feet wet with. Works plenty well so far.

I think my cam is causing fits, though. ie, doesn't like 14.7 AFR at idle... Needs 14 or less. Once up and running, it works just fine.

Still have not done anything since my first chip. Need to acquire some data and burn a chip with 100% TPS PE enable and acquire LOTS more data for a better VE table. Spark is ok, as far as I can tell.

I do need some pointers on getting the idle/low-load rpm "wandering" to go away. It's not the IAC, it's not a vac leak, it's not greatly varied spark or VE values in near cells. Not sure wassup. I guess if I play with the VE tables a bit more it'll help.
