WTF backfiring and catching fire after intake reinstall

i reinstalled the intake and now the car wont start it will crank backfire and it put into flood clear mod it will catch fire. i had the distributer out so i guess it went way out of time...maybe i didnt put it back the same...still ive messed with it and it wont start...could the parts cleaner and carb cleaner i used all over the TBI cause this? whats up with it?

::edit:: also the CTS broke while i had the manifold off but the metal terminals are still there and it still plugs in pretty much the same as it normally would...would the CTS cause it not to start? somethings not right here because usually the car will start even if the timings kinda messed up...ive turned it and turned the distributer same thing everytime crank crank puff...if you give it throttle fire will shoot out so yeah it must be getting spark somewhere

its been leaking oil for awhile and i was tired of it. lately its been leaking 2 quarts every 4-5 days so....it was leaking off the back of the intake so i wanted to fix it...didnt have the money for a new manifold just yet either.

Owwwwwwwwww!

Owch! Is this the stock TBI unit? I'm wondering if you have a fuel leak on the back side of your manifold.... I still can't see how the IAC would be damaged/affected unless it were deliberately torn off for some reason...
You are flooding the manifold, that is for sure.... I have the suspicion that your throttle body is leaking directly into the intake, or you have a bad fuel line.
I would say since the IAC was damaged, you might have possibly damaged the fuel line in the throttle body itself....

OW!

If your dist is not installed correctly it could backfire and catch on fire simply because its firing while the intake valves are open.

IAC isnt damaged the coolant temp sensor on the manifold itself is...i could be leaking fuel i took the injector pod off then went ahead and put it right back on i dont think the gasket was bad or anything i tightened it down pretty good...im thinking maybe its just severly out of time...i installed the distributer about the way it came out i dont get it...

i have a light i just need to get it to start so i can get the timing right. is the TBI leaking? or you just think its the timing? maybe if i disconnect the EST and try messing with it

The CTS should be ok if its still making a connection. Your timing is way off. Did you mark the distributor when you pulled it? Do you know how to find TDC by turning the crank?
