Anyone using the ram air box?
Anyone using the ram air box?
I have noticed a major decrease in throttle response and power now that its getting hot here and i was wondering about the ram air box. seems like a really good idea and i would still be able to use my open element with it. Id like to possibly rig the intakes to accept air were the bright lights are. anyways has any tried it? how many bones did it cost you?
I was noticing that too with my OE and the hot a$$ temps down south. I saw this air intake for trucks on Ebay and it looks like it might work.

There is a similar one made by a company called Airaid. I have called them and they have assured me that it will not fit a camaro. It looks to me like it would, but hey say not. So I went with a dual snorkel.
the ram air box from www.ramairbox.com looks better IMO plus you can still use your open element if you have one (i have the k&n) plus it has to air inlets. seems like a practical design to me.
