Ultimate TBI Fuel Pressure mods
Ultimate TBI Fuel Pressure mods
Been reading the instructions for the AFPR mod. Looks pretty straightforward. I can see my tab and looking at it from the top down, it appears to be at or near the bottom of the cup so I presume the fuel pressure is as low or as near to as low as it can be...correct?
Before I start any of the mods, I plan check my mixture with the method described using the 02 sensor and voltmeter, presuming if the voltage checks out as recommended, I won't need to make any changes in the TBI FPR...correct?
But, if adjustments need to be made, does anyone have a ball park figure for the relationship of how many turns of the FPR screw will give how many additional pounds of pressure? If the pod needs to be disassembled every time an adjustment is made, I'd like to get as close as possible the first time.
Many thanks! :hail:

It is REALLY simple to do it I think the the little window deal that tells you where your fuel pressure is at. the higher the cup the more fuel pressure the lower the cup the lower the pressure its simple I think
and its not that hard or time consuming the the adjust the fuel pressure 8 torx screws and few twists and your done not hard took me 2 min i think

My stock fuel pressure regulators tab was set near the bottom also (looking from the top down) but, before I adjusted anything I decided to mount a Fuel pressure Gauge inline so I could see what the actual fuel pressure was. I'm glad I did it because as you can see, my fuel pressure is 12psi and sometimes gets to 13psi without adjusting anything.

GKK,
I'm not positive, but what you're measuring is the line pressure going to the TBI. The regulator inside the unit adjusts that pressure to the injectors. I don't know how you'd measure that except to monitor the O2 sensor at WOT to make sure it's spitting enough gas to get the voltage up between .8 and .9mv.

Who makes that gauge you have?
