I would make sure that you have 350 Injectors and a Chip. Does the Computer give you any error codes?

The injectors for the 350 have a higher flow rating. Put the old injectors in the new one and see if that works.

if you look at the tbi, the tps is directly opposit the throttle linkage on the shaft. Its a black rotary sensor on the tbi with a four pin connector going to it. You can measure the tps to see what the resistance of the sensor is. it should have its lowest resistance when its closed and the highest resistance at WOT. Youll have to find which of the four pins connects across the rotary resister. After you verify that its hooked up properly, then you can backprobe it to see what the voltage is. Should be like .7 at idle, 4.6 at WOT or soemthing. This is usually covered in most shop manuals for your car. Good time to get one if you dont have it. If you havnt had the tbi all apart for mods and cleaning then i doubt its on backwards. If you have had it apart then check to see that none of the o-rings sealing the injectors are leaking. Well, id check them anyway. Turn the key to the on position to let the fuel pump prime the system and look to see if gas is leaking out. If not, then you have a problem elsewhere. Maybe an erratic reference pulse from the dist. or something.

My car is a 89rs with a 355 tbi and it is doing the same thing as yours. But i have a new tps and it didnt do any thing for it. But mine when i push the gas the ingetors dont spray that much but if your foot is off the gas it sprays like crazy. check to see if yours does the same thing maybe we can both figure what the heck is wrong with these cars.
