If you're sure it runs OK, then drop it in man!!!

IF you've got everything still on the block, including the TB, injectors, and the knock sensor, then you're set.

If not, then you need to change/add those. You'll need higher flowing injectors (JPrevost knows which), and the knock sensor.

Later on you should change the chip to a custom burnt one. That'll make sure you get the most HP outta the swap, but it's not a requirement.

Oh. Just so you know, keep the roller cam stuff outta the Firebird. Like the lifters, the 'spider', the retainers, etc. That'll make it much easier (in other words "cheaper") for you to change the LO5 to a roller cam motor later on.

I thought it was 87, and it does not apply to trucks.

My L05, for example, uses a roller cam (and 68lb/hr injectors - trucks got 55lb/hr I think).

I put a truck '93 350 in my 92RS

My RS was a stock LO3, so when I blew it up(128,000mi) I decided to put in a 350 out of a 93 1500series Chevy pickup. I had the whole motor, even all the sensors. The main things that differ from the 305 are
- injectors
- ESC(electronic spark control module(located by the fuel pump relay in the engine compartment))
- Knock sensor
- computer chip

You can get away without changing your computer chip, however the car will only run like a 305. The chip regulates the fuel and you will only get enough fuel to make the 305 run well. That 350 will starve for fuel. I got Brain Harris to make me a chip with the program that they used in the LO5 police package caprices. That chip will work great for you as long as you have the TH700R4 tranny. If you have any questions on this swap that I haven't covered feel free to email me RSCamaroGuy92@yahoo.com I have just done this swap a month ago.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mods on engine
- self ported & polished heads.
- Edelbrock TES headers.
- Custom 2 1/2" y-pipe
- Complete 2 1/2" Cat-delete flomaster 80 series exhaust/muffler
- MSD blaster Coil, Cap, Rotor
- New Taylor 8mm wires
- Splitfire plugs
- Cop Car computer chip
- Hypertech 180 fan switch & themostat.
- Melling High Volume Oil pump
- Ported Stock intake with ultimate TBI mods

Soon to come:
- Either Edelbrock Performer Multi-point EFI unit for TBI
or
- (sorry guys) Performance TPI setup(less likely)

chip...

Brian said that he just started making the changes to the chips to accomedate manual tranny's. You'll have to ask him about that future swap though.

If you run into any problems at all, feel free to email me, RSCamaroGuy92@yahoo.com

Concerning your oil cooler, Why not buy oil filter adapter GM#3952301 and bolts #3951644 and do away with it.
