lt-1 cam ?'s
what kind of gains can i expect with an lt-1 cam, in my 305 with flowmasters, everything else is stock except, no cat, no smog, open element air filter.

About 30hp and a lot stronger powerband. The smaller displacement 305 will do more with the 350 cam than the 350 does.

I ground mine off until it was flush with the timing gear.

roller cams pretty much don't wear out. So unless the engine ran starved for oil and scared the cam then it should work fine. I have used one that had several little pits in it and it worked great for years.

I just talked to this salvage yard in Alabama, and this guy says the LT1 cams out of the mid 90's Camaros, won't work in our cars. This guy is on crack right? I mean, the LT1 cams we're always talking about on here, are out of those cars right?
