I'm in the process of swapping out the stock intake for my 305 and putting a open element cleaner on. I have one question I'm looking at getting the Edelbrock elite series air cleaners. Will this fit under my stock hood?? Thanks! Tyler

 

it all depends on the heighth of the filter and the base of the air cleaner i have an edelbrock 10" flat base on my 92 firebird 305 TBI with a 3 inch filter element but i had to remove my throttle body spacer and the stud that the wing nut goes on had to be screwed out like 3 turns but my hood clears mine

 

mine clears my hood on my 92 305 firebird and i have a 10 inch by 3 inch flat base air cleaner i just had to screw out the wingnut stud and remove the throttle body spacer that sits under the stock air cleaner

 

I have the edelbrock 14 X 3 elite series and it fits fine under the stock hood of my '92 RS
