hey gang,
time for the post that is becoming an annual tradition on this board
i got the date for the '03 east coast nats. it will eb held on saturday august 23,2003.
we got the date a lot earlier this year than we have in the past, so we are a bit further along in our work than we have been.
so far we hjave confirmed that the goosie bags that we handed otu teh first year will be back, that is the oinly thing tha tis locked and doen so far.
coming with in the next 2 weeks is a brand new web site that will be at www.f-bodynationals.org the site is not live yet, but will be soon.
also, since we got the date so early we had a head start at getting vendors/prize sponsors/ site advertising. this means tha twill will have the prize fund started much earlier this year than we ahve in teh past and hopefully it will lead to a wider variety of vendors than we hav eseen in the past. we are also working on getting the dyno back that was so hugely popular the first year.
so go out and tell all your friends, start plannign that summer vacation and get yoru caravans organized

hey gang,
i wanted to let everyone know that we are planing to have a little meeting of the local guys at hooters on street road in bensalem, pa wednesday december 18th to discuss some of the goings on for the east coast nats and to get soem feedback on where everyone wants the event to head.(that is a hell of a run on sentence! )
we are planning to meet up around 7:30 and get teh drinking....er um.... i mean discussion, started around 8.
on deck fo rdiscussion:
1. event classes for drag racing
2. event car show classes
3. event autocross classes
4. parking lot layout
5. t-shirt, poster, flyer ideas
6. advertising
7. potential vendors and sponsors
8. advertising and other ways to get the word out
9. the web site

everything is gonna be pretty loose and informal, but only because that is all most of us can really handle while drinking....er um, i mean while we eat.

Where is this going to be held?

 

the event is held at englishtown, new jersey.
we are moving along nicely on teh event, teh web site shoudl be up and functional tonight or tomorrow(we can thank the snow for creating enough time at home for it to get doen finally)

teh site is going up and will be functional, the specific class rules will be added in teh next week or so.

i will post it up as soon as we go live.

as far as stuff on the car... are wipers needed?... if so i'll have to find em

i'm running Mickey thompson sportsman pro's, i'd assume i'd be in the drag radial class,... even though mine aren't radials.. they are biased ply tires, but... theya re DOT approved and have tread.
