HP estimate...

Currently I have only a few mods: Borla cat-back, dual snorkel and 160* thermostat. My next mods will be headers, hi-flo cat and ultimate tbi mods. My question is, what do you think my HP output would be with all of these mods on an otherwise stock LO3.

Thanks.

Sounds like a nice round number to me. Any advice on what headers and cat to use. Looking for easy bolt on. And I will probably get them coated.

Hooker headers are definitely best IMO. And a CATCO cat would be good(and cheap). Plus if it was me...I'd switch to a hooker cat-back

az-beautiful car!!! 190-200hp at the flywheel sounds pretty close depending on the milage and strain your engine has taken. I'm using hedman headers and am pretty happy with them, though hooker and SLP seem to have a little better reputation. A few recommendations: having them coated is worth it, I wish I would have had mine done. Also, keep the ones with 1 3/4" tubes in mind depending on what you have planned for your car in the long run. Lastly, headers are not an easy bolt on, at least in my opinion, no matter what brand you go with. The passenger side really sucks!

r90,

Thanks for the advice. My engine has not had much strain at all. The car only has 66,xxx miles on it. I got it two years ago with 32,xxx on it.

Despite the 15k a year, it get babied pretty good. Never raced. I have a pretty light foot. I think that is why I get about 24mpg.

headers choice

I have MAC headers and they work GREAT! Install was real easy, smog legal with the AIR and everything

i think they retail for about 450 or so, but i can get them for around 225-250

they are fully coated and everything

lemme know what you want

There is a shop by me that tried to sell me some MAC headers last year. I have not heard much about them. You say you have had no problems and they were an easy install? I might have to PM you on that offer.

I say...

190.

After the headers and cat and such, you'll get the horsepower out of that Borla system thait's good for. After headers and a High flow cat I'd say a good 225hp at the flywheel.

Try putting some stickers on your car. From what I heard they help alot.
