TBI intake manifold or adapter??????

I need recommendations to whether or not I should use an aftermarket TBI manifold or use a regular carb manifold with an adapter plate for the TBI unit. Has anyone experimented with this and is clearance a problem with the factory hood?

Id get a good holley or edelbrock single plane and use an adapter plate. I think it would be alot better than the TBI intake. Will take alittle more modifing but nothing to hard.

It should flow much better than the TBI performer...I had it and it wasnt that great IMO. My holley street dominator looks MUCH better IMO.

Nope, plenty of aftermarket carb manifolds have EGR, even a few single planes.

No question, go with the carb manifold.
I like single planes but you need to be able to adjust pump shot parameters at the minimum in the chip. A dual plane might work ok with a stock chip.

theres no reason not to be doing your own chip tuning anyways

Ive heard a single plan intake works great with TBI for street use. Not the greatest idea if your gonna run a carb tho. Not for street use anyways. You can get the holley street dominator intake with EGR. Id recomend it personally. You can get it with EGR and your style bolt pattern in a idle to 5500 power band model or a idle to 7200 one. The idle-7200 model is TALL.

Well I still haven't figured out how to get a chip burned yet and I do need one pretty bad. I was kinda waiting on getting a rear end first so I wouldn't have to do it again.
