How to find out what gears are in ur rearend

I have a 1993 2500 with the towing stuff I think i have 3.73s but im not sure.

fidn teh RPO sheet in your truck. it is the list with all the little 3 digit option codes. if you have 3.73's one fo the rpo's will read GT4. a lot fo gm truck have them in teh glove box.

Car: 91 Red Sled

Axle/Gears: 10bolt Richmond 3.73 Torsen

Mark the tire and the driveshaft with some chalk and count how many times it rotates against either 1 rotation of the driveshaft (neutral of course) or 1 rotation of the tire. Depending on which you turn and which you count rotations you'll be able to figure out the ratio.
