Ive decide to put the firebird crossfire ram on my 1989 tbi 305 ive got the hood that has the scoop thats off to the left a little and was wondering if that would work with a little modifying,firebird if you have done this could you let me know how you did it and how much horse power you got and some pictures would be nice. Heres a link of what ive got.

i just bought an '89 formula 305 tbi. the previous owner had installed the earlier t/a ram air systen.

on mine, the opening on the airbox that mates up with the air cleaner is smaller.

i haven't driven the car much yet as i still don't have tags, but i feel no difference with the flap open or closed.

within the the next few weeks, i'm going to have it dyno yuned and take it to the drag strip to establish a baseline for the car. i'm going to check it with the flap opened and again while closed.

i'll post the results when i get them.

I don't think RAM air helps much on the dyno. You should notice a difference at the track though.
