TBI code 43 help!
ok so I just got finished installing new headers on the car and I took it for a drive. This error never occured until I installed the headers.
Well seeing that the new headers were going to give me a horsepower jump I decided to mash the gas just once to see what it did. I was terribly upset the car barely tried and felt worse than a 4 cylinder.
It was that time that the code 43 popped up (just as I was mashing the gas)
What do I do to fix this problem. And someone please simplisticly tell me because I have read about 20 different posts and don't understand what I'm supposed to do.
Thanks
-Justin

the code.
43. Low voltage at electronic spark timing circuit
This means you've got something gone to hel* with the ignition.. i suggest you check all the leads to the distributor and coil.. Then on the other hand if your gonna mod the car more you could just get an msd ignition system.. it would save you the time and trouble since youre gonna be upgrading the ignition anyway if youre gonna build the engine more.
Still if you're gonna look for the fault i suggest taking the battery cables off and with a multimeter checking all the spark advance control leads.. Make sure you havent burt and plug wires... if any of them seem burt just get an aftermarket set.. there usualy better and cost the same anyway..
Run winaldl.. if you can... that would help alot.
