thinest tbi to carb adapter

Anyone know what the thinest tbi to carb adapter (spread bore) that is commercially available? I have looked at the holley ones but I am gonna also add a nitrous injector plate and am running out of room. Other than custom, is there anything else out there besides holley? Thanks...........bob

I e-mailed holley and they told me the plates that fit the spread bore 4bbl intakes are 1" thick!!! I can understand that for the heated one, but why does it have to be an inch thick? Can I mill it?

Are there any other adapters out there?

Thanks ........bob

I made mine out of 1/4 alum plate. I bit of grinding was need on the sides of the intake to match the bores.

I just bought a Holley #1741 - it was about 1/2" thick, and only $33 from Advance Auto (I think someone said they were $12 at PAW). AND, you can mount the TBI more towards the back, or flip it over and mount it more towards the front (I flipped, and mounted more towards the front).

BUT.... the TBI bolts go through it and push on the intake, causing a vacuum leak - so get shorter bolts, or put washers in.

hey guys, thanks for the response. I had a hard time believing holley when they told me the 1741 was 1 inch thick. They don't even know the answer to a simple question like that!!
Thanks again..................bob
