New 0-60 mph time
How's 5.27 sound
. Lockers 15 frames per second so 0.0666 seconds there is a new line of data. I'll post the run later this evening with a chart display of TPS, RPM, and VS. Maybe I'll even post the final SA.
This time is comparable to a camaro SS before end production and it's faster than a new Ford Mach 1 stang.
Figure I'm running 174k miles auto tranny, 2800 stall, 350, vortec heads, 212/222 .435/.460, slp tri-y headers, 3" exhaust, RPM intake, Holley 670 TBI, 3.73 torsen rear on dinky bald 245/50-16 Kumho 712 tires and full tank of 87 octane. I'm in serious need of hooking up the wideband o2 and getting the fuel dialed in then spark, then new tread. I'm going to take out some timing to help with a softer launch for the time being.
You will notice when looking at the data that the car creeps at 1mph before I launch, look at my TPS and the engine speed. Yes, our/my brakes suck.
Not bad for being airflow limited with a dinky 2 barrel TBI.

Very nice jon. Not bad for the 2bbl TBI at all. The best is when the person you just beat finds out what you have. It's really amazing to see how far TBI is going due to efforts such as yourself. Keep up the awesome work.
Nate, I assume you're talking about prom tuning. The DIY Prom would supply you a lot of info, just remember to do a search for what you looking for. You did the right thing by asking jon as well, he knows what he is doing.

Jon, I remember reading up somewhat on Lockers a long time ago on these boards I think from NJspeeder but I never really got a definitive answer as to what exactly Lockers is. Can you please try to explain what it is, what it does and how it is useful for us?

Lockers is a scanning device that plugs on to your ecu through a factory port located on the opposite end of the chip end. It basically reads exactly what the ecu recieves and sends out in real time. It bypasses the whole aldl port all together. It's a diy board and cable deal that requires some heavy duty electronics skills and equipment, like an ociliscope. I have the zip files around here if any one wants them.

yeah, the diy-efi site is back up, i found the zip files, but haven't had a chance to really dive into them yet (at work right now).
but if i need an ociliscope and other electical equipment, i may be in trouble, i am pretty electronics savy, but if it goes much beyond reading schematics and testing with a DVOM, it is probably beyond me.

It's been a while since i looked at it but I also think you have to program a pic which is another whole ball game as well. I really wanna try it and I have access to all the equipment just don't have the time right now.

well i just looked at it, it looks like you do need an ociliscope to set the timing on the board, but other than that, it seems pretty straight forward, maybe i could find one to borrow, i'll have to start asking some friends.

the thing that really gets me hooked on this, is that it seems ot have provisions for hooking up the DIY-WB into the datastream, that would be GREAT for tuning WOT on tbi.

Sorry no posted data. It's time related. There is Prom burning 101 Q & A going on out in Dayton with Grumpy, Saturn, 3.8Trans am and myself (so far). I'm looking to get a 0-106mph run WITH wideband data. When that happens I'll zip it up and post with comments.
0-60?? Pfft! get a 1/4 mile run up you *****
oh heres my latest after a few tweaks on the ol 305
ill spare you the details, in a nutshell there is a REALLY BAD manifold mismatch with the ports now and one of my rockers got loose on this run, first run with car back together, hot motor, hot day.
2.36 60'
13.622@103.87 mph
you got me on the 0-60 though all i did was a 5.555, course if i had some decent tires ...

btw im just busting your *****, good work Son
