15.018 @ 90.22 MPH w/ 2.105 60' , so close!!!!! (to 14s)

Previous best was a 15.294 @ 88.xx MPH, the only things i have done since then was a 1/2" TBI spacer and replaced a badly burnt spark plug wire (definately was holding me back). Next mods are a Pro Built Streep Strip tranny and ACT 2400 stall Torque converter which will hopefully get me in the 14.7xx range.

 

NICE And you haven't even touched the cam or heads yet. Who knows, you could be in the 13's before you're all said and done.:hail:

 

after the tranny and torque converter ill be saving up for a 350 (L05), the 305 has almost 160K miles on it.

Those are some pretty good times. I have almost got the same setup as you, but i havent got a chance to go to the track yet.

I cant wait to get the tranny and torque converter in the car, im hoping for mid 14s with the 305 without touching the cam, heads, tbi, or intake.
i just got a www.tbichips.com Stage 2 chip. Hopefully the next time i go to the track i can test that against the Stage 1 chip. I also might add some 1.6 rocker arms and new pushrods since the stage 2 adds more timing and fuel.

I was suprised how well the car ran, and how a bad spark plug wire held the car back almost 3 tenths. Hope to have new times in November 30th.

 

sounds like a good setup, but why new pushrods?

 

i figured id buy some new ones just in case, dont want to take it apart and find out that one is alittle bend or something like that, and plus, new GM roller cam pushrods are only $30.

 

vjo90rs8, How do you like your stage 2 chip? I have got one on the way. Should be here in the next couple of days.

 

i havent installed the Stage 2 chip yet, but i am very happy with the Stage 1 and i think it is a great chip for my mods.
Not sure when ill have the Stage 2 chip in there. On the 17th I plan to run the car with 1.6 rocker arms, but i think i am going to keep the stage 1 in there. I will probably test the 2 chips November 30th.

 

i was at the track with vjo90RS8. and i ran horribly. i ran a best of 14.975 at 92.49 with a 60ft of 2.180. but i did win second place thanks to my consistency. so even though i was running way slow i still got a trophy.
