I said CAN run 11's, not WILL. There is a big difference. Just like I'm sure there have been z06's that ran 15's before as well as 2003 cobras that couldn't break out of the 14's. the driver plays a big role, especially with a manual tranny, but given a good driver in descent conditions a stock Z06 can and has ran 11's more than once.

No no. Rephrase that. Given an EXCELLENT driver in AWESOME conditions a Z06 might hit a 11.

good and decent aint gonna put the car in the 11s

Right you are.......but I was referring to the vette in this instance. I do, however, stand corrected on the times of the Z06. Sorry, that was the best that I have seen recorded on a time slip....but it is awesome that with the PERFECT driver and PERFECT conditions they CAN hit just under 12. I wonder how the viper does then....best I have seen is a 12.1

lol, the last time i was at the local drag stip, there was a viper club there too, several of them were running 12.9 - 13.1 @ 110-120. fun to watch them smoke the tires through the first 3 gears. i would guess judging by the trap speeds some of them were doing, they could probably put in an 11sec run. there was one guy in a GTS that ran 13.3@126 (guy could not drive to save his life)

That's it?!???!?!!? A 500 horsepower car running only in the 12s and 13s???? That makes Honda look strong... OH well, guess they should learn to drive those cars.

You're looking at their ETs, look at their trap speeds.

that is the reason i included the trap speeds on all of those, they have ALOT of power in them, to trap in the 120's but bad drivers, a bad track, and non of them even on DR's is what made the E.T. so unimpressive. anything trapping at 120 is damn impressive.

also not all the new stangs are cheap. me and my dad went about 3 weeks ago to the ford place and they had cobras and saleens going for up to 50,000!!! the supercharged ones started at like 39,000 they had like 375 hp and 400 and something torque! so they arent that much cheaper. plus they come with new sleek body kits and spoilers on them(ooohhh aahhhh)
and yes they do have hondas all motor running in the 10's and 11's which is sad!!! oh well i still hate hondas and if you **** out a civic and spend thousands of dollars on it guess what its still a civic... the bottom of the barrell for honda!!!

Yes, Saleens come with a very hefty price tag. They look bad *** IMO, and they handle the twisties AWESOME.

Not my thing though.....

Correct, 120+ trap from the factory is nice. As much as I'm into drag racing, I gotta say just look at their traps. That's all that matters to me in this instance....
