Help me get set up for data logging.

Alright what do you guys recommend for me to start data logging with my car, which is a 92 305 tbi? I was thinking winaldl, but I tried about 5 times to make the damn cable and I suck at soldering so I just gave up. Where can I get the cable, and what else do you guys recommend I get to do some serious data logging. Not quite chip burning yet, but just simple data logging. Thanks.

Well, winaldl is pretty much the best tool you can use, and I don't think you really need anything else to better it other than maybe a wideband O2 sensor.
As far as the cable goes, your best bet is to see if someone on the board is willing to make one for you. That is what I had to do

how about a tech1? what does it do that winaldl doesn't, or vice versa? how about diacom?

also, i seem to remember reading on the prom burning board that winaldl locks up pretty frequently. is that so?

Well, I have never had winaldl lock up on me. I'm not running a monster labtop either, it's only a P333. My only complaint would be towards the tbi ecm-it's spits out info too slow imo
As far as which is better, I am not sure. I like winaldl because it shows me pretty much all i need to know, and it is free
