idle 2000, with holley and carb intake
i just installed a weiand 7525 intake with a holley tbi. 65lb injectors at 15psi. now my car idles at 2000. i had to drive home like that. could it be the TPS or IAC, since it was a used unit, could it be calibrated for another car. do i have to change something in the chip.

Shouldn't have to change the chip. Check to make sure that your throttle cable is not hanging open a little bit. If it is pulled back ever so slightly it will make your idle go way up. I had to reposistion my throttle bracket a little and my idle came right back down.

i took of the cable completely and it doesn't go back down. the blades look like they are as closed as they will ever be. i dont see any vacuum leaks but ill check tomorrow with some carb cleaner. what about the IAC or TPS

I had the same problem, it was a vacuum leak. Check the idle control set screw, as well as the tps and iac like you suggested. The iac could definetely be the problem, not sure about the tps, but it's good to check it anyways.
Also, I noticed that playing with my base timing changes my idle characteristics a little. Not so much as to make her idle at 2k, but it's something to check as well.
As far as the chip goes, you're gonna want to make changes anyways. I am one that believes holley underates the injectors from personal experiance. You will be running rich if you leave it as is.

where was ur leak, it could be at the back of my TBI since the return line was hitting the vacuum outlet port on the manifold. so i bent the line up, but i might not be enough, and not letting the rear of my tbi to seal.

Actually I had two. The first was the tbi gasket itself, around the iac. There was an open circle in the gasket (came like that) and wasn'e sealing right. The other was just a stupid rubber piece on one of the vacuum hoses.

Actually, I had that problem too.... My vacuum lines were routed wrong going to the tbi. The MAP line was switched with one of the other ones. Though I'm pretty sure that code can be caused by a vacuum leak as well. Check the lines though just to be sure....I felt like an idiot when I finally realized what my code was from after numurous vacuum checks at the time....
