i have 350 injectors on my lo3 with no tuning. runs like crap, mileage is crap, and bogs like a m/f. i think tou can get by with them if you have an afpr, so that you can turn your fp down. of course you can burn a prom for that too.

if you are going to bother switching TBI's, get a 454 unit, and put your 305 injectors on it. then do the free mod to make you fuel pressure regulator adjustable, add a hair more fuel to compensate for the extra air.

it is likely the poor fuel mileage is from something other than the throttle body. if you haven't done it lately, do a good tune up on the car, also a clogged, or partial clogged cat will reak havok on our cars.

Replacing the throttle body casting isn't going to help your gas milage.. solid chunks of aluminum which get their hardest wear and tear from dinky throttle linkage don't really have a failure point.

The sensors on it could be shot, but the throttle body itself would not cause it.

On the other hand, a new IAC sensor from autozone is 34 bucks.. so if you're looking at replacing your IAC any time soon, you might as well spend the extra 6 bucks for a shiny spare TB casting.
