Rotating Assmebly & Cam for 4bbl TBI

Well they got done with my block(#1970010), all I got to do now is to figure out what rotating assmebly I need to get. I'm thinking about an Eagle set, I'm don't think I need a forged crank, I am getting a 3.75" stroke, and I'm wanting hypereutectic pistons(.060 over). What I have no idea about is the cam?? I want to go with a roller(I'm going all roller-lifters, cam and rr's). Does any body have any ideas? I got the Holley 700cfm 4bbl TBI modfied to work with the factory ECM, with some custom programing of course. Any ideas would be nice. I don't really plan on much racing just dependable driving at around 400hp.
The intake is another thing that I don't know about with the 4bbl TBI? I am using some P&Ped Vortec heads.
Also anyone know how many cubic inchs I'll have with a 350 bored .060 over and a 3.75" crank, if you know liters that would be nice to?

You may want to look at the LT4 hotcam. It has really nice specs and is about the limit as far as TBI tuning is concerened. You will have to tune a lot but will be a vary nice street cam. Your set-up will come out to 388 CI.

(Bore^2)(Stroke)(pi)/4 all that times the number of cylinders

Its not your only choice at all. You can really go hog wild when it comes to cams. I just suggested that cam because it is a cheap cam (if you buy that and not the whole LT4 hotcam kit) and has really nice specs for a strong street motor like the one you have. it was designed for FI so you can tune it. If it was anything other than TBI I would suggest bigger but then you will get into the heated debate about how much power can the TBI support.

wow.. and how did you come up with that limit? heh.

he has a holley aftermarket TBI.. not the stock one... it flows a hell of alot more air.. id really like to know why a LT4 hotcam is "the limit"

That cam can make over 400 hp with a good set of heads and proper fuel. However you don't see many TBI owners succesfully tuning cams with more than .525 lift and 218/228 duration supporting it with either of the Holley 670 or GM 454 units. Granted those numbers will decrease with 1.5rr's but it is still a large cam for a 2bbl TBI set-up. I understand that bot of those units flow a lot more air but not nearly enough to achive the potential of that cam. Now using the 4 barrel TBI set-up from Holley is different and that TBI system can handle 400 HP. There is a reason why Holley makes the 4 barrel set-ups. I may be wrong but I have come to this general conclusion over the years based on the numerous of members that debate and stuggle to tune their large displacement, high flowing headed, large cammed engine combos equiped with TBI.

Yes and i'm using a Holley 4bbl TBI. Do ya think that I'd be able to get 400hp or a little more with the LT4 hot cam? What about Comp Cams, do they make anything close? I'm probley going to go all Comp Cams valvetrain, I'm going to call there cam help line 1-800-999-0853. Any other ideas? Anyone else running something similer in there car? What about a intake too?
