not sure of the question but perf rpm is a dual plane? i am of belief a single plane may be a better choice for TBI. with either you use a holley adapter plate and the dual TB holley 670 or a GM 454 TB. the miniram/stealthram i think is a TPI intake system. check with holley on that as they offer an engine management system. sorry if Q misunderstood.

and LT1/mini ram/TPI/Stealth ram is a mutil port set-up. This would require a massive change to your current system. I think you are wanted a larger intake and TBI combo correct? The mini ram and stealth intakes are way to big for a 305. Even if you are running a serious cam. That is if you are asking about switching to a multi port set-up.

Well it depends on what you want to do with the car? Are you looking for a drag strip monster, a daily driver, a weekend cruiser? How much power do you want? TBI is great for durability and low cost. Multi port set ups are expensive but will support crazy amounts of power. If you have absolutley given up on any fuel injection you can go carb. Each has its advantages and dissadvantages but it realluy depends on what you want and what kind of budjet you have.

To be honest i really want something that will not give me any problems, give me some what good gas milage, just a daily driver because it's my first and only car, but yeah i just want something quicker that want i have now. Budget wise i have about maybe 3000 to 4000 to spend but some of that will go to wheels and tires. Zr-1 wheels, Nitto Drag tires and maybe and ss hood so i am guessing i have maybe 2500 to 3000 for performance.

I haven't really given up on fuel injected but was rather curious if it was possible and worth the trouble.

if your one and only car. tuning may not be for you. it takes a lot of time to get things right. weeks or months. in meantime car may not run very well. if it is a second car i would say tune away and start learning. it actually is fun. so that leaves carb. quick and easy. my buddy is carb all the way and questioned my sanity to mod a TBI car. but i did and six months later running at 90% efficiency with room to improve.

You do not have that much money to work with so i would stick with your TBI set-up. I would do the little things like full exhaust and some suspension stuff. Than use the rest for wheels and tires. You will have a great looking, great handling car that sounds good and has a little more power. All the while you will still be knocking down 25 to 30 mpg. You will spend more than 3000 converting to a multi port set-up. You are also going to drop a lot of money for those wheels and tires. I got pretty cheap wheels and they were about 900 for 4 and another 900 for tires. That is a mean chunk out of your budget.

Are you serious with the gas milage, right now i am getting about 250 a tank so roughly 12 to 15 mpg on the highway. Now i think there is something seriously wrong with my car

I would be glad you get 250 per tank. I average less than 215 per tank recently.

As far as your budget goes, I would forget mini ram and swapping injection systems. Get some fast burn heads, performer rpm, hotcam, 454 tb and burn a chip. Youll be good for close to 400hp and wont even break $1500. Spend another $1000 on exhaust and be done. (Except youll need a 2400 stall and 255 fuel pump so tack on an additional $300 or $400 to be safe) Now youve got a low 13 sec car and still have at least $1000 left to spend on wheels. Not to mention youll probably have better mph and a very nice daily cruiser
