adding a cowl induction to my tbi

adding a cowl induction to my tbi

i ordered a cowl induction unit for my formula, and i needed some help, they came off of 82-84 carbed cars, all i need to get it all hooked up is a vacum line, and i have no idea what one it is or how to do it, i am assuming that it is the one that goes into the tbi body ? the same on that already comes off of the air cleaner ?, should i just split it or how do i do that ?

i'm assuming you have the the hood and associated hardware?

the vacume line goes to a control module that is mounted on the firewall, then a wire runs from that to the motor in the hood. the air cleaner itself is designed to fit that hood, it has a sealed hose on the drivers side of the lid, the matches up with the hole in the hood.

hhmm i dont think i worded it rightr


i know that the vacum line goes to the acuator on the firewall, but where does that line that goes into the actuator actually come from, is it the one that currently comes off of the tbi unit and goes into the stock tbi air cleaners set up ?

i don't have a car here with functional cowl, so i'll have to look at my buddies 84 when i get a chance, but IIRC it was t'd into another line back there already. it shouldn't really matter where it comes from as long as it gets a good vacume reading.
