Need to beat this !!!

This is my target, I need to match these times.

Does anyone have a way to determine how much raw power I need to make to take this young upstart ?

Depends on traction and weight.......

If you can get your car to cut better 60' times than his you won't need quite as much power.

I'd bet you'll need around 235hp to trap faster than his 93mph.

Man, that one run with the 1.98 60' looks like a miricle run. all the others are ~2.5-6 sec

Do a search for my name and "305 dyno numbers".

I ran 14.7 at 93 mph with the stock cam, heads, intake, etc. but you will definately need a torque coverter if it's automatic.

Basically you will need a car with ~3350 lbs w/o you and ~180 rwhp and ~260-270 rwtq. and then a 60' of 2.1x sec.

I thought it might take a bit more HP as I doubt whether a stock 350TPI would run these times and they must be around that HP level.

I have headers / air filter / lt4 cam / performer rpm intake to go onto a 305tbi, and once the damn pocket programmer2 and Romulater eventually get "over the pond" (guess the whole USA shuts down for thanksgiving, happy holidays you all) I am hoping to get near these numbers........ or am i talking myself into an impossible race?

will the standard 305 injectors support this HP level or should i ebay some 350/cop car/big block injectors ?

After you are fully tuned you will most likey need larger injectors. You may be able to re use the stock ones if you keep the stock heads. That will limit your power making capabilities with that cam but should keep you in the range of the stockers. A 350 TPI should run way better than those numbers to and should be a mid 14 car all day long. Your data logging will tell you if your injetors are keeping up.
