fuel shut off for 3rd Gens?

Recently backed my 90 RS into a guard rail courtesy of too much speed and a wet road. To make a long story short, it wouldn't restart and was pushed into a nearby lot. Was just curious if there was a safety shutoff for the fuel like some earlier Ford products. If not then I'm stumped.

Sounds like the accident knocked some wiring loose or damaged something. First make sure the SES light gives its usual momentary flash of and then on again when the key is turned to the on postion. That at least says the ecm still has power. You should also hear the pump prime when the key is turned to the on position. If the car has fuel pressure when the engine is cranked then check to make sure the injectors are firing. This is easy enough to do. They should make a repeating 'click' sound when the engine is cranked and they should spray fuel each time they fire. Next check to make sure the engine has spark when it is cranked. You can hook an extra spark plug up to one of the spark plug wires and hold it against the cylinder head or any other grounded surface. It shoudl give consistant spark while the engine is being cranked. If it only gives an occasional spark then thats pretty much the same as no spark at all.

Check each of these and find out what it is that the engine doesnt have. That should at least help narrow things down.

quick fix

Found out it was the fuse(go figure!) just off of the battery. Impact must have grounded something and blown the fuse or had a weak filament and done same. Anyway I wish the body work was a quick fix.
