Good progress on the mods.
L98 cam - installed
TPI heads - installed
Comp Cams Magnum rockers - installed
Hooker Super Comps - installed
Just have to put it all back together. Hitting a bit of a snag with the intake. Need to do some more work on the top 4 bolt holes. We will get it tomorrow. Then, just reconnect everything.

Looks good. Piece of advice, if you're not going to use the air system on the headers, cut off those damn air tubes. I didnt and they get in the way of everything.

Hehe, oh yeah! I hate racing on the streets, no traction, cops, it's just a stupid hastle, hell if you beat me maybe I'll pay for your tech card
. As far as the air goes, Mike (graebz28) just cut his off in one piece and tacked the holes shut, then come emissions time, he's going to have a friend tack the tubes back in their place so it looks legal. Just a thought. Definately exciting to see your car coming along so well though!! Good luck man, keep us updated!

Hey man we are in the same boat except I am keeping the stock heads and valve train for now because of $$. Looks great. When the motor is all apart like that you wonder "is this thing gonna ever run again?"

Very nice, I love sleepers. If you pulled up beside me in a purple RS id probally start laughing if you tried to race. I wish I had a plain jane Black 89 Bird with a damn 455SD in it haha, that'd be my dream car (atleast while in school) I love sleepers. Best car ever made is the 69 Copo Camaro, plain looking camaro with ZL1 427's in them.

I fear that is what my problem is, intake vacuum leak. We had to do the bold hole enlongation on the 4 center bolt holes. With the bolts going back at an angle, it was hard to get them tight. If that is the case I might just go with and intake that is a better fit for the heads.
We will see.

Wow old post. Anywho there should be a vacuum diagram under your hood. Just look and there should be a sticker that shows where everything goes. It is not to bad to keep everything straight. Everything pretty much falls back into place when you start re-attaching stuff.

Heres my problem-i tore the car apart last september-begining of october, maybe im being to analytical- i dont remember what the MAP vacuum line goes to on the TBI-does it go on the back in the center? and dumb ? the line fromthe washer bottle i assume that goes directly to the washer system, but somehow i think it was connected to the manifold which has the 3-way check valve attached to it.
