I found this TBI on ebay and was wondering if it would make a difference.

only if you need more airflow. with that added airflow you will need to compensate with more fuel. either higher base FP, or vafpr, or larger injectors. i chose the latter. now the engine specs have to be able to handle the added air/fuel. which means mods done. a balanced approached. possible new eprom required. going bigger is not always a good idea.

dont even worry about that until you have new heads, camshaft, and intake, or upgraded to a 350. The stock TBI is enough to suppose your engine right now.

did i read that right? someon paid $199 for a 454tb bare? wow, i have one here i have been savin, maybe i should put it on ebay.
honestly, if you need a bigger tb you shoudl jsut go to a junk yard. a lot of places have vans, buses, service vehicles, and heavy duty trucks with big blocks in them, most yards will charge $25 or less for the tb complete with sensors and injectors.

I bought one of those. It's a really nice piece of work I must say. One thing that they do, that most of us can't, is to put larger throttle body blades in there that match up perfectly with the 2" bore. . . as opposed to having a 2" bore with 1 11/16" blades.

Overall, I think it was money well spent, especially given the fact that I don't have to worry about lengthing wires for sensors or any of that. Everything is in the EXACT same place as my 305 TB.

It's actually not a 454 TBI it's a small block TBI bored out to 50mm which I don't believe is quite 2" but very close. It's not a bad idea since all the linkage and wiring and everything will fit exactly the same as our stock TBI's. I guess its just preference, if you don't mind dealing with a few fab work things on teh 454 tbi then you might as well get that for cheaper.

Hey,
I'm thinking about getting this guys intake manifold/tbi combination. You think it would be worth it for my application? Procharged L05
