you wont gain much if anything, unless you have specific need to have larger injectors, like newer/better heads, larger camshaft, better intake, headers & to top it off chip tuning. these all equate to more power but if you dont get rid of the stock heads, intake and camshaft you never see the full potential of the 305.

If you use those injectors right now you will lose power, EAT gas, have horrendous throttle repsonse, kill your cat, and have an all out crappy running car. Save them for when you can burn chips and need them. You don't need to change injectors until you have serious heads and cam.

ok. thanks for the input. anything else i can do fairly cheap that will give me a noticable gain in power. i will not be putting new heads or cam in this motor as i will be build up a Carb'd 350. but id like to get the car down to a 15.7-15.8 fairly cheap. if thats possible.

You best bet is an open element, full exhaust, and ultimate TBI mods. Anything else to gain power will require chaning the heads and cam. However, suspension mods are worth their weight in gold. You can see low 15's and possibly mid 14's with just those mods coupled with the right suspension parts.

already have open element. and a new muffler but didnt do anything before the axle. im hoping with the bumped timing and some different tires i can get into the 15s. just half throttle now will break the tires loose. before it wouldnt even do it at WOT with the timing where it was at.

Boxing your stock pieces or getting a few new bushings can be done for under 30 bucks. You are not going to get much for that. However, you may be able to get some used tubular pieces for that price. LCA's go for 99 brand new.
