TBI not spray when crank !!
Hello,
I'm new and hope you all don't mind.
I recently swap a 305 TBI from a 91 Camaro into my Jeep Wrangler. The whole project went fine but I don't get any fuel spray when crank the engine. I can start it by spray in some carb cleaner once the engine run....I got fuel spray out real nice and steady on both injectors as of no problem ever happened. My buddies told me that it needs more ground, but that didn't solve the problem. Could you Chevy folks give me some hints to look for? or what is wrong there?
I'm very glad to discover this board. Thanks all

I think there is a wire off of the GM ignition module that tells the ecm that the engine is cranking. Dont remember what color it was in the harness. Maybe purple/white? Its been discussed here before so a search may bring up some answers.

Checked the pin-outs on the 8746/7747, its pin C9 on the ECM, which will be purple/white in the harness. Dont know exacly what the signal is that the module sends. +5 volts, maybe? Anyway, needs to be hooked up for the injectors to work.

thanks for the promt response, I will try that tomorrow but I can recall that I did purposely leave this crank signal wire out because I couldn't find out where to connect it. Could you tell me where this wire should be connected? You had mentioned that it should be connected to the injectors but at what point ?
So that's it ....I have not try it but I have a very strong feeling that this gonna solve my problem...
just the one that I leave out came around and giving me trouble. Will let you know how it goes once I get the result.
Thanks again
