Driveability - need advise

I just purchased a beautiful 92 RS Camaro. I have had the plugs and wires replaced and the distributor rebuilt. When put into gear, the car is now stalling when idling or at low RPM. Once the RPM's are up it runs like a dream. Any advise?

I second the timing...when I put on my Performer TBI intake manifold I had to pull the distributor and when I put it all back together my car did the same thing...turned out I had accidentally advanced the timing to 14* when re-installing the distributor. Check the timing and don't forget to unplug your ESC!!! Look to the posts on timing to make sure you do it right.

Thank you both for your advise. When the work was done, the timing was set.. I will have my tech recheck that though. We just noticed that the catalytic converter is rattling...probably fried..do you think that could cause the lag on take off? I failed to mention that the stalling happens when the engine is hot or cold..really bad when cold though. We wondered if replacing the cat conv would fix the problem. I was reading some of the other posts.

The rattle may just be a loose heat shield. If your cat is plugged the car will have problems accelerating even under full throttle.
