670 tbi unit
670 tbi unit
I have added the holly 670 tbi unit and i can't seem to get the car to run right. it almost seems as if the car trys to retard it self, i haveup graded the heads to vortec head, installed the holly intake, used the recomended cam from crain cams, up graded the fuel pump ect. It looks like i am fighting the stock pcm in the car. is there a aftermarket pcm i can go to. or is there somthing i can do to mine. i have already tryed to add the hypertech chip and that was nothing but a waist of money. i am out of ideas. if you guys have any ideas would like to here them. thanks

Well it sounds like you have a nice set of mods there. Your problem lies within the chip. Chip burning is crutial when modding these cars. Your best solution is to burn them yourself. That is the only way to truly get the chip right. Off the shelf stage 1 and 2 chips are not what you need either. If you need to get the car running while you learn how to burn them in the meantime contact brian at www.tbichips.com. Check out the prom burning section in the "new to TBI" thread at the top of the page along with a few searches in the DIY PROM board. Good luck and happy modding. Welcome to the boards

Car: currently thirdgenless!!!
I have head and cam mods to my car and it ran like crap also.
Brian has done several burns for me and its running halfway descent now. Still need to do more burning though.
One thing you need to do is get a lap top computer, an aldl cable and download WINALDL off the internet. Brian will needs some datalogs to see what needs to be adjusted.
