swapping TBI 305 for TBI 350

besides the obvious motor swap, what will i need to change in order to keep the ECM happy? I'll be putting in a L98 that's been rebuilt with a factory cam in it. Nothing radical but the 305 is taking a crap, so i told my friend i'd swap them out. knock sensor different, different chip etc ??

IIRC, you need a 350 knock sensor, a 350 ESC module, and a 350 PROM/chip.

Correct. You will also need 350 injectors. The "350 chip" or "cop car chip" will suffice but if you want to get the most out of the motor you will need to learn to burn your own chips.

350 prom chip out of caprices or ....?

any particular number that i'm looking for when looking through the yards? the 350 injectors are just a higher flow rate but same size. does it matter from a truck or car engine?

It doesn't matter what 350 injectors you get. They can be from a truck or car. A caprice car chip will work but a truck one will not. If you cannot burn them yourself (which you should if you want the motor to run at 100%..hint hint) you can always look on ebay for the "cop car" chip or contact Brian at www.tbichips.com. Any chip you just plug in though will only be a close stab and will leave some power out of the picture.

I don't mean to hijack

how big of a differance does a 350 esc make vs a 305 esc? and who sells them cheap? the cheapest I've seen is GMPartsDirect.com for about fifty bucks.

Also, don't forget to buy a nice aluminum bat to beat the snot out of your engine with.

Sorry, just venting because of my 3 month long engine swap.
