Judge my setup
I'm planning on rebuilding my motor soon, and i decided i want to build it up for performance. I want a monster LO3
Anyhow this is what i plan to toss in there:
Holley 670 CFM 2-BBL TBI
Holley 305 Intake Manifold #7525
Comp Cams XE262H-10
S/R Torquer 305 Heads (Port & Polish)
305 Stroker 335 Kit
Edelbrock Tubular Exaust System Headers
What do you guys think? Would this setup be streetable?

Welcome to the world of tbi new guy
Sounds decent except are you planning on stroking the 305 out to 355? I didnt think you could go that far over but i might be wrong, i'll pull up some of my books and check it out. or someone else can mention if i'm right or wrong

Well... I'm gonna watch your posts in the future to monitor your progress. From what I've read you look to be going in the right direction. I'll wait for Shifty to spak up before saying, "WTG!"

This company actually makes a stroker kit for the 305. Personally i don't see what problem i would run in to but i want to make sure.

Also, as for induction, i just got ahold of a H.O. dual snorkel air cleaner, and i plan to fab up a ram air induction "option" to go in to the top of the aircleaner using the SS hood; hopefully that will all work out. I could probably explain it in better detail but i'm pretty tired. whew.

Forget the stroker kit for now. You only have to worry about the water jackets when overboring, not stroking. Some 305's have gone safetly to .040 over and others haven't. I wouldn't risk it. If your shortblock is in good shape I would leave it be for now until you can get your hands on a 350+CI core. That is unless you like spending lots of money for minimal gains. Your list seems on track but I would opt for different headers because there are better shorties out there than the edelbrocks (check exhaut board for that). What are the specs on that cam anyways? I am too lazy to look it up myself right now. As always the key will be chip work. Oh and did I mention chip work. It is so important it was worth repeating again. I would start with that first so that you know what changes effect what along with just getting the basics down. You may want to include a wide band 02 sensor. That will make your tuning process so much easier as well as 39578365 times more accurate than your stock 02. A WD02 is the only way to knock down your WOT tuning. You are going to need lots of it with your combo so you might as well opt for the stuff that will get you there. Don't even consider off the shelf or mail order "custom chips". The only way to do it is by yourself with a lap top in hand and you sitting in the car.
EDIT: Don't forget about suspension, torque converter and gears. If you want to go anywhere you will need to give these areas attention as well. It may be better to skip some of your crazy mods now if you only have limited funds. Heads and cammed motor with peg leg 2.73 open rear = dumb. I hope you have a deep wallet for such a young age. You will need it.

i forgot to mention i would be fixing up the suspension first. i have a "paper car" and they way it is set up to begin so far is:
suspension>drivetrain>engine, and of course basic restoration. the guy who owned the vehicle before me knew **** about cars and it was in bad shape, so i am restoring the exterior and interior as well. I work at a chevy dealership, so the discounts help out alot.
