Next Mod?...

Hey guys,
I am itching to do another mod. What would be the best bang for the buck mod for me. I was thinking either some computer tuning or some 1.6 rockers. What do you think. Check my sig for my current mods.

I think he has headers already based on his sig. I second chip tuning though. Headers really throw the tune off and if you plan on swaping cams nows the time to learn.

'Nother vote for chip tuning. Having that will be necessary to do future mods. Without it, the computer will fight you.

My perspective;
Tuning, LCARB with SFC, LCA poly bushings, Bilstien struts, carb intake with adaptor plate and make stock FPR adjustable (fuel pressure bumped up), springs, sway bars, in that order.
Tuning first since you've got headers already and stock tuning is already weak (Gm didn't want TBI performing close to TPI ).
The LCARBs are highly recommended since you've got the gears and posi to induce teeth chattering wheel hop.

Do all of your engine mods first, then tune. That way you only have to tune for one optimal combo. Just my

I think it's best to start tuning with a stock motor to see what you can do/get away with and the results. Then doing another mod, tuning, results, "oh look, the engine needs more timing down low RPM with the larger cam." This way you've learned and everything goes smoothly. Trust me, I did my engine swap and was having a HARD time getting a good baseline tune. I dove in head first and know how hard it was so trust me, if you are looking for getting 100% out of the engine and awesome drivability, start tuning ASAP or you'll spend at least twice as long trying to tune a radically different setup.
