Should I cut the adapter plate or leave it alone. I just received this from CFM.

You could notch it to match the intake, but youd have to be very careful that there is enough gasket surface remaining to seal off the bores and vacuum port passages under the tbi base.

Thanks for the reply, I will make sure to measure and re-measure to get the right cut. Will post pictures once the cut has been made.

I agree. I would leave it be. My TBI spacer has siamese bores and I think that I have a small vacuum leak where the gasket is not being pressed onto the bottom side of the TBI. This would have the same effect. Over time that gasket will become soft and droop a bit since nothing is supporting it under the notch/siamesed.

This should help. Everywhere in red must be in contact with the gasket on both surfaces and each must be free of nicks and gouges in that area.

As for the gasket, take teh plate off when your done and mount the tbi to it. Then turn the plate/tbi over and trace and/or cut out the portion of the gasket that overhangs. I did this to make my gaket for my holley tbi when none of the ones for the larger tbis where available.
