What does everyone think of this engine?I might buy it after the new year to start off my year right =)...If or should I say when i do buy it,ill be adding a LT1 cam,1.6 roller rockers,headers,true dual exhaust and a 350 TB...What does everyone think???

I don't think it's worth it, the heads or swirl port heads. Terrible heads. You can get a better motor for that price I'm sure. Look for something with better heads or a shortblock and put your own heads on there.

ahhh i see....one big thing is that i want to keep my tbi setup on there...so i know it prohibits a lot of my options....I might just convert to carb and call it good but i dont want to lose my MPG

well its a lot easier to make hp with a carb engine compared to a tbi isnt it? or am i trippin?

Transmission: Still works
Axle/Gears: need 3.73
That engine you are looking at has the hydro cam. You will need to do some work if you plan on using roller cam and lifters.

Yes you're trippin. The only thing easier about a carb motor is tuning. But equal HP levels can be obtained as long as everything else is equal.

I went with the 300 HP TPI motor w/ the optional TBI cam (it's a Crane grind) and Trick Flow Aluminum heads, but whatever fits your budget should work.

Maybe it's just me, but with a big ticket item like that, I would want some kind of warrenty.

I'm not going to comment on what you should do with your money but JFYI, that engine isn't a roller block. So if you want to slide a lt1 cam in there you'll need the $$$ retro roller lifters.
